Back in Columbia

I've been back in Columbia for over a week now. It's good to be home. Things are coming together with TerraStride, and I am glad to be a part of this team. Kelsey and I ate dinner last night at Terra. We sat beneath a Japanese maple and the lights of the patio underlit its canopy of fresh, spring leaves. We had an excellent meal - the pork roulette was perfect - and the wine and conversation lent the evening a joyful headiness.

Sioux Falls

I am moving back to South Carolina. Last Tuesday, Kelsey and I flew into San Francisco and began packing my apartment. On Wednesday night, we had a party with friends and neighbors and hit the road the following morning. We first drove to Bozeman via Elko to visit Kelsey's mom for the weekend. We visit Mastodon Hot Springs and took a dip in the Boiling River. It snowed, and we ate well and laughed a lot. Kelsey and I left this morning and drove to Sioux Falls. South Dakota's prairie and badlands have a staged, soothing beauty. Watching the full moon rise over them was one of the best parts of this trip.

This is my first blog entry in two years. I have let my writing slip, but I plan to remedy that.
